Job Overview:
As we gear up for a major launch, we’re looking for a Head of Sales & Marketing to step in and drive growth across a lean but powerful organization. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s tired of the red tape and under-leveraged ideas at their current company — someone who knows what works, doesn’t need hand-holding, and can lead with confidence and experience.

We’re a team that’s seen its fair share of pitch decks and sales folks who couldn’t deliver. We’re overwhelmed managing partners and focused on product and delivery — we need someone we can trust to own sales and marketing end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Leadership

  • Manage and coordinate external vendors, freelancers, and agencies across:
    • PR and media relations
    • Paid advertising (search, display, social)
    • Organic and paid social media
  • Develop, test, and optimize marketing strategies for:
    • Solo operators and local service businesses
    • SMBs scaling into multi-channel marketing
    • Enterprise brands with compliance, procurement, and complex needs
  • Own content strategy by:
    • Identifying needs and gaps based on persona and funnel stage
    • Recommending and developing campaigns, email sequences, landing pages, and explainer materials

Sales Leadership

  • Build our outbound and inbound sales playbook from the ground up, including:
    • Outreach scripts, email templates, sequences, rebuttals, and CRM workflows
    • Funnel strategy with tools and timing across cold, warm, and active opportunities
  • Manage, coach, and hold accountable a growing team of SDRs and BDRs
  • Personally prospect, email, call, and demo when needed (we’re looking for a doer, not just a delegator)
  • Work closely with leadership to refine offers, positioning, and pricing
  • Own lead routing and triage of inbound interest during launch and scale-up
  • Analyze sales performance and report insights regularly to leadership

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing roles (B2B preferred)
  • Previous leadership experience (managing teams, vendors, and budgets)
  • Strong copywriting and messaging skills
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools, outbound platforms, and attribution/analytics
  • Proven success with outbound and inbound lead generation
  • Experience working with or selling into SMBs and enterprise clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent practical experience
  • References available upon request
